David was a Revolutionary War veteran. He filed for pension in 1832 in Rutherford Co., Tn. He was 81-82 years old. In his pension he stated that he lived in Charles City Co., Va. Then in Chesterfield Co., Va. where he enlisted. He then moved to Amelia Co. Then on to Nottaway Co. and enlisted again. He then moved to Halifax Co., Va. He moved to Tn abt 1823. (But as you can se in the census he was in Tn. before then.)

THOMAS PEARSON was born abt 1794. He married NANCY ANNETT (ENNETT) on Dec 30, 1815 in Caswell Co., NC. (There is also a listing for Dec 28, 1815 Halifax Co., Va. - I would assume this is probably when they filed for a marriage license rather than their marriage.) Their known children are:

Stephen was an educated man & he taught school During the summer he worked logging logs to be shipped to New Orleans. Between 1821 & 1822 he slipped and fell into the Cumberland River & drowned while working the logs. He is buried at the Gallatin Cemetery. Jane married Dec 20, 1838 Alexander Orr of Readyville. Alexander died Sept 5, 1857 and is buried at the McKnight Cemetery. Jane then went to live with her son, Iredell. Jane died abt 1859 and is buried in the Crossplains Cemetery, Robertson, Tn. John was a Presbyterian. He was a tax collector in Hanover in 1736, 1737, 1744. And a constable in 1745. He had moved to Rowan Co., NC by the spring of 1749.

GEORGE BRANDON was born abt 1702 in Monaghan, York, Pa. He married MARY ANN ARMSTRONG. Mary Ann was born abt 1718 in Monaghan, York, Pa. Their children were all born in York Co., Pa. with the exception of the last child that was born in Rowan Co., NC:

George owned a plantation on the Yadkin at Renshaw Ford. His will was written Nov 2, 1772. George died Feb 3, 1773 in Rowan Co. He is buried at Thyatira Cemetery in Salisbury. Mary Ann died abt 1797 in Rowan Co.
