SHAKING YOUR FAMILY TREE: QUERIES 1999
I invite you to enter a query for your Morgan County ancestors but because of our limited space, please limit to only Morgan County ancestors. If you aren't sure what part of Alabama your relative was born, died or resided in, might I suggest checking the Alabama Federal Census Index, usually located at your local library or Historical Society or Genealogical Society for the time frames before and after the one you think they would be in. Enter your query information exactly as you want it to appear including the name of the county in case of misdirection with one exception, please enter the surnames in capital letters. Every effort will be made to post your queries as soon as possible.
Once the queries have been archived for a year, I do not pull them back into my computer.
So if you change your email address please send me a new query.
To submit a query email Kathy
The Morgan County Surnames page serves as a name index to the queries. Surnames 1999

information from a very nice "cuzin" and would appreciate hearing from anyone
who can identify this family. The information is taken from the 1870 Morgan

Blind. Also listed in the home: Jas. W. CROSBY 9/12 M W born Sept AL. I guess
the 9/12 means he was 9 months old. I do not know what the numbers following the
state means. My g grandfather, Abram (ABE) WILSON is listed on this same census
as being 18 yrs. old, male, white, Farmer GA 16 17. He is shown in the home of

WILSON/CROSBY
Seeking any information that will help me identify
the names of my Wilson gg grandparents. I need any information regarding a
possible marriage between an unknown WILSON lady (my gg gmother) to H. H.
CROSBY. Time frame would be 1850-1870. My great grandfather, Abram/Abraham
WILSON, was living in Morgan County in 1870. He was underage to marry and needed
to have a document signed giving permission for the marriage. It was signed by
H. H. CROSBY and S.E. CROSBY. I'm trying to prove that Abe's mother had married
a 2nd time to this CROSBY gentleman and that he was Abram's stepfather. This
could account for the document being signed by someone other than Abe's father.
If any WILSON or CROSBY researcher has information about such a marriage, please
