I am seeking information on the Reverend Michael Medsgar Lawson. He settled in Nashville sometime soon after the Civil War. He married to Katherine Darrah Lawson in West Ely MO. The Reverend Lawson was called to pastor the Presbyterian Church in Nashville, and supervised the construction of the present building and the Manse on Sypert Street. He and Katherine had three sons Hugh, Harry and James, and one daughter, Mary. Mary married the Rev. William Ora Davis who later in his retirement was the last pastor of the Presbyterian Church. William and Mary had one son, Robert William. Michael, Katherine, William, Mary and Robert are all buried in the old Nashville Cemetery. Any information on any of the above people would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Alfred C. Shipman. He died 9 April 1931 and is buried in Duckett Cemetery. Maybe he lived in Wick. His wife was Ida Franklin. I am looking for the parents or grandparents of my grandfather, Howard Wilson Brown. His father's name was Harvey Brown and his mother's name was Ida Murphy Brown. There were other children as well: Kathleen, Emmer, Ollie, Dorothy, Eugene, and Harvey Jr. The family left the area around 1919 and moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. My grandfather was born 6/2/1914. My grandfather John Clair Owens was born in 1909 in Dierks, AR. His father James Allen Owens was born in Nashville in 1883. Any information on this Owens line would be appreciated.

I am looking for Coffman's living in Howard Co. who might know some of Maurine's children. She was supposedly raised in New Hope, AR. She married Jeff Wilson about 1934-1940. She died in California. I am looking for information on my ancestor, Isaac Perkins, who was a Baptist minister in Nashville, Arkansas. He is listed in Goodspeed's BIOGRAPHICAL AND HISTORICAL MEMOIRS OF SOUTHERN ARKANSAS as pastor of Missonary Baptist Church in Southern Arkansas. It mentions that he originally owned most of the lans on which the present day town of Nashville stands. I would appreciate any light you may be able to shed on this person or members of his family.

Need information on J.W.(Bud) Jones who md. Mary Jane Perrin 16 Feb. 1898. They had 3 children that I know of; Nellie, Lizzie, & Jimmy. Does any- one know of this family? Also have Josie O. Perrin who md. John W. Henry....were there children?? Emma Parsado Perrin md. W.R. Killian 2 March 1902. Would like any information concerning them. These girls were all daughters of William C. Perrin and Melissa Ida Howard. William C. Perrin had a sister named Susan F. Perrin b. 10 Dec. 1854. She md. Nathaniel Leaman in 1878 in Clark Co. But they are listed on the 1900 census for Howard County. Nathaniel was from Maine, so says the census record. Indeed I did find a birth for him in Kennebec Co.,Maine. How he got to Ark. I will never know. Were there children? Are there other Leaman's in Howard Co? Spelling could be Leamon, Luman, Lemmon, etc.
