CHANDLER/LAWRENCE
Does anyone know where Minnie Chandler and Forrest G. Lawrence are buried.
I know their daughter Lily is buried at Center Point and their son Roy at County
Line, but I can't find where they are buried. Any help would be appreciated.
LONG
William I. Long ( 6-5-1845 to 7-30-1911) live in Howard County and is buried in
Pleasant Hill Cemt. outside of Hot Springs. Long is my maternal g-g-father.
He drew a Civil War Pension and was a member of a Confederate cavalry unit
command by a Ras Williamson. Have been unable to identify this unit. Would be
most appreciative if anyone could help me identify this unit. It could well have
been a local militia unit operating in Howard County - but no information to
support that. Any help is appreciated.
COBBLE
Hello, I am trying to find anyone related to a Lee Roy and Birtie Cobble family that
lived in Locksburg during the 30's or 40....can you help.
Thanks
DAVIS/CAREY (Cary)
Looking for more information on these families:
Levi B Davis & Lucetta Davis of Mineral Springs - parents of Clem Davis.
Clem Davis was married to Lindy Carey-(aka Melinda, Milinda, Lindie, Linda, Linday)
daughter of Frank and Nancy Carey of Dillard Township & Blue Bayou Township
of Howard County. The Careys were know in the census as Carry, Cary, Caby, Garry? Gary?
Children of Clem and Lindy were: Cloie, (aka Cloye, Chloe, and Ethel Davis and
Cloie Ethel Hamblem) another daughter was Clemmie (aka Fay Davis) I'm not sure
if there were any more.
Cloie Ethel Davis married a Henry Lee Davis or a Jack Davis and had three sons?:
James Dale Davis born in Bingen? 1921 (My grandfather)
Charlie Lee Davis born in 1918
Roy Johnnie Davis born in 1924 in Ben Lemond?
Does anyone know the husband of Cloie Ethel Davis?
or the husband of Clemmie? (Fay Davis)
Does anyone know where Levi Davis is buried or Frank and Nancy Carey?
Clem and Lucetta I found in the Mineral Springs Cemetery.
Did Frank remarry a Ella?
All can be found in the 1930 census under Frank Carry - Blue Bayou Township.
I feel the census taker was careless and assumed all the last names were Careys.
Ruby as well as Claud are know cousins to my grandfather James D. Davis. I've
never heard of Edward.
Lindy remarried a Thomas O Wolard ( Woolard)
Her SSDI is under the name of Linday Woolard
and I remember her funeral and burial at Canfield Cemetery in Idabel, Oklahoma in 1968
JACQUES
I am looking for information about Dr. Thomas Jacques, the 1880 census lists him
in Howard County. He is my husband's great, great grandfather. Thank you.
KEMP

in and around Nashville,Howard Co., AR. My grandmother Alice Orr KEMP is burried
somewhere in Howard county. I would guess that the Cem. where she is burried would
be Centerpoint township. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
ALLEE
I am looking for any info on my Allee Family and their grave site. I have looked
through every cemetery you have listed and don't find them. Dewey Clarence
Allee b. 26 Jan 1900 d. March 1983 ss shows Mineral Springs, Howard County,
AR. Juanita Katherine Allee (Hines) b. 27 Jul 1919 Dallas, Dallas, Texas d.
Jan 1984 ss shows Nashville, Howard County, Ar. Richard Wayne Allee b. 19 Jan
1959 Dallas, Dallas, Texas d. Sept 1978 ss shows Nashville, Howard County, Ar.
Richard was only 19 at death. He was a passenger along with 2 or 3 of his friends
in a pickup truck that rowed over on their way back home that night form I believe
Hope, AR. in September 1978. All the other boys lived. So there could have been a
write up in the paper about the accident he was a very poplar young man. Burial
was right off a main two way busy street out of town that I can remember.
Dewey and Juanita worked and lived on Chicken farms in the area. One son last
known lived in the area 1999 Ronnie Lee Allee. Genealogy shows he lived there
until 2002.
WESTBROOKS
I am searching for information on the location of the grave of Allen T.
Westbrooks. He was the father of HJ Westbrooks who is buried in Fellowship
cemetery. Allen T. Westbrooks is mentioned in Howard County Heritage as being
an early settler in that area, circa the 1830's. I find in census records that
he came to Lamar County Texas in 1860 with his wife, sons, and son James W.
Westbrooks. I do not find him in any census record after that. Any
information would be appreciated.
