Seminole County School Census

Each fiscal year (Jan.), census takers would go to each household and record every child between the ages of 5-20 years of age. They were recorded, whether in school or not. They could be married and under the age of 20 years and still be recorded.

KGS/konasc KONAWA AREA 1920-1930 Schools consist of Pilgrims Rest, East Fairview, Grayson, & Konawa $25.00

KGS/hazelsc SUMMER'S CHAPEL, HAZEL, & DORA 1920-1930 These were grade schools. The students then went to Vamoosa, Central, Maud or Konawa High Schools. This book does have some photos. $15.00

KGS/vamsc VAMOOSA, GORE, & FRIENDSHIP 1920 -1930 This book consists of Vamoosa, Friendship, Gore & Sand Ridge (also known as Ignorant Ridge). All the schools eventually consolidated with Vamoosa. Some photos in the book. $20.00

KGS/kightsc KIGHT 1920-1930 This was a grade school and consolidated later with Sasakwa School. Some of the records show a Holdenville (Hughes Co.) address, but doesn't necessarily mean they lived in Holdenville. Some photos in the book. $10.00

KGS/modelsc NEW MODEL 1920-1930 This book also consists of schools that consoldated with New Model School: Lone Dove, New Hope, Thomas Chapel, Thomas Town, Oakridge, Lone Grove, Diamond Point, & Dunbar. $10.00

KGS/tatesc TATE MOUNTAIN 1920-1930 This school consoldated with Wewoka School. Some of the students had Wewoka or Holdenville (Hughes Co.) address. $8.00
